Safety Coordinator Job Description (sample):
Requires a minimum of 3 years environmental, health,
and safety-related professional experience. Must have comprehensive
knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply complex local,
state, and federal regulations from governing agencies such as CDC,
EPA, NIH, OSHA, NIH, NFPA, and NRC. Must have prior experience in
the development and delivery of EH&S training courses. Requires
experience conducting inspections/audits of EH&S policies and
programs for regulatory compliance as well as investigating
accidents/incidents. Requires a bachelor's degree in a life science
or engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of EH&S
education, training, certification and/or experience from which
comparable knowledge, skill, and abilities have been attained.
Masters degree in a related discipline is preferred. Must have a
current, valid driver license issued by the state in which the
position is located.
